Strong Together for Feed Analysis – Benefit from 500 Years of Experience in Laboratory Instrumentation

Practical, collaborative, and driven by a passion for precision – this best describes our latest video project. In cooperation with the renowned companies Fritsch, Gerhardt, Memmert und EMC Lab we demonstrated how application knowledge and technology go hand in hand to make daily laboratory work more efficient and reliable.

This joint project impressively showcases how diverse and essential modern analytical technologies are—using the feed industry as an example—and how powerfully collaboration drives innovation. With over 500 years of combined experience in the development and manufacturing of laboratory instruments, we unite tradition with state-of-the-art technology.

Behind the scenes of this video project stood not only cutting-edge equipment but, above all, a strong network of people who made the collaboration both exciting and inspiring. The exchange with our partner companies once again showed that innovation arises when experience, customer understanding, and application focus come together. Together, we develop solutions that simplify laboratory processes and improve results—for greater efficiency, safety, and trust in our customers’ daily operations. During the filming itself, there was a wonderful atmosphere characterized by mutual appreciation, enthusiasm, and the shared goal of presenting feed analysis in an engaging and practical way.

The video shows step by step how modern feed analysis works and how the best instruments in the industry interlock perfectly to deliver reliable results. We are particularly proud of the contribution of our polarimeters, which play a key role in starch determination according to Ewers. Our UniPol V is a classic circular polarimeter for precise measurement of optical rotation over a wide measuring range and is furthermore extremely robust, durable, and reliable. The intuitive user interface with Aquisys 3 enables fast execution of measurements, statistical evaluation, and free configuration of user-specific measurement methods via a 7” touch display. In addition to a classic polarimetric measurement at 589.3 nm, the device can also be expanded to include a second wavelength in the NIR range (882 nm), allowing even samples with high optical density to be measured with ease. SCHMIDT + HAENSCH flow-through cells enable fast, reliable, and efficient determination of starch content. Thanks to its excellent price-performance ratio, the UniPol V is the optimal entry-level solution for the feed industry.
