Sample preparation for the sugar laboratory

Already in the 90ties SCHMIDT + HAENSCH has contributed considerably to develop an analytical method without the use of hazardous clarification salts. Clarification of sugar juice is usually necessary in order to remove color and turbidity from the solution. With the development of the near infrared polarization scale for sucrose and the respective 882 nm wavelength which SCHMIDT + HAENSCH offers as a standard in our polarimeters highly absorbent sample can be reliably measured. With the additional help of the SCHMIDT + HAENSCH Autofiltration unit the retained undissolved particles will make your polarimetric determination of sucrose even more reliable and considerably faster.
